Medford Campus:

Intermediate Guitar & Worship GS 305 - 2 units

Mondays 6:00-8:00 pm at Pacific Bible College, 409 N Front St, Medford. Starts 1-5

If you are more than a beginner but not at the advanced level, and love to worship, this class is for you. Barre chords, scales and leads, finger picking, and reading tablature will be covered, but the emphasis will be on contemporary worship and a deeper understanding of the heart of worship.

Taught by Ken Rensi a graduate of the University of Dayton and Southern Oregon University. Ken has been teaching guitar and leading worship for over 20 years.

 

Youth and Family Ministry Foundations  CE 307 - 3 units

Mondays 6:30-9:30 pm at Pacific Bible College, 409 N. Front St., Medford, Starts 2-9 (includes 3 Sat sessions)

Youth Workers have a challenging role and task regarding ministry to the home, the church or on the school campus. This course lays the foundation for a strong biblical philosophy and practical framework for ministering to today's household with an eye on the church, para-church, school and institutional settings. Elements of philosophy, leadership, and programs are examined regarding youth and families, and their cultural world.

Taught by Mark Sumpter a graduate of Westminster Seminary with a MAR in Theological Studies. Mark has been involved in congregational ministry for over 25 years. He currently serves as pastor of Faith Presbyterian Church in Grants Pass.

 

Art: Creating Works with Impact  GS 318 - 3 units

Tuesdays 9:00 am – 1:30 pm at Trail Christian Fellowship, 18881 Hwy 62, Eagle Point, Starts 1-6

Evoke strong emotion though great composition and new techniques. We will learn tools that great artists have used throughout history and combine them with each person’s unique style to paint pieces that move the viewer. All mediums and all levels are welcome.

Taught by Karen Cain-Smith, an award-winning artist with 8 years experience as a private art instructor. She is a graduate of Humboldt State and Northern Arizona Universities.

 

English 2: Writing for Publication – Strengthening Structure & Creativity  GS 202.2 - 3 units

Tuesdays 6:00-9:00 pm at Pacific Bible College, 409 N. Front St., Medford, Starts 1-6

In this class you will write and read to gain confidence in expressing your thoughts in a cogent and intelligent manner that will captivate readers and interest publishers. Students will be given exercises in all kinds of writing as well as have the opportunity to have their own work critiqued. Class size is limited so register early.

Team taught by Sandy Cathcart and Lynn Ludwick. Sandy Cathcart is a published writer and a coach for aspiring authors. Lynn Ludwick is also a published writer and a graduate of Northwest Christian College.

 

New Testament Survey  Bib 102 - 3 units

Tuesdays 6:30-9:30 pm at Pacific Bible College, 409 N. Front St., Medford, Starts 1-6

In this survey of the New Testament, students will gain a working knowledge of the basic message and outline of each NT book while gaining valuable insights into their authorship, themes and historic backgrounds.

Taught by David Slamp a graduate of Nazarene Theological Seminary and Fuller Theological Seminary. David has over 30 years experience as a senior and associate pastor. He is currently small groups and adult ministries pastor at First Church of the Nazarene.

 

Old Testament Survey  Bib 101 – 3 units

Thursdays 6:00-9:00 pm, at Pacific Bible College, 409 N. Front St., Medford, Starts 1-8

In this class, we will study the historical, theological and geographical content of the 39 books found in the Old Testament. The Goal of the class is to get both a basic understanding of these books in their original context and to understand these books in light of the reality that Christ is the fulfillment of all that God has promised.

Taught by Ryan Clark, a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary who brings over 10 years of ministry experience to the classroom.

 

Church History 1 – Pentecost to Present  Hist 101 - 3 units

Thursdays 6:30-9:30 pm at Pacific Bible College, 409 N. Front St., Medford, Starts 1-8

Students will be provided with an overview of the major events, personalities and movements of the Christian Church. Attention will also be given to the major trends and philosophical shifts in secular history that have either shaped the Church or were shaped by the Church. This course will be taught from the belief that history is part of God’s general revelation to mankind and as such has value to the believer in learning wisdom and living charitably among the wider Body of Christ.

Taught by Christopher White and Matthew McAuliffe. Christopher is a graduate of Prairie Bible College and is an Associate Pastor at Trail Christian Fellowship. Matthew is a graduate of Western Baptist College and is the Worship Pastor at Trail Christian Fellowship.

 

Romans  Bib 201 - 3 units

Fridays 9:00 am – 1:30 pm at Pacific Bible College, 409 N. Front St., Medford, Starts 1-9

Romans is perhaps the most important single document ever written.  It is the clearest theological statement of the gospel and has changed the course of history and the lives of millions of people by explaining what God has done in Christ.  Students will study the text of Romans, develop an outline of the book, and dig deeply into at least one of the many theological and practical dimensions of this powerful letter.

Taught by Rick Booye, a graduate of Biola University and Western Seminary. Rick has 30 years pastoral experience and is the Senior Pastor at Trail Christian Fellowship.


Chiloquin Extension

English 1  GS 101, 3 units

Mondays 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm at the Chiloquin Community Center on Main St in Chiloquin. Starts 1-5

Would you like your writing to be less of a chore and more of a joy? This course is designed to help you recall and make sense of all those weird things your high school English teacher told you, and to help you pick up what you missed “the day you were absent.”

Terry is a graduate of Alaska Bible College and Western Conservative Baptist Seminary with 18 years pastoral experience and is currently a Southern OR Area Missionary with AMF. Matthew is a graduate of Western Baptist College and is the Worship Pastor at Trail Christian Fellowship.
