Pacific Bible College
MISSION
STATEMENT
In an age of widespread
socially-constructed truth, Pacific Bible College offers a
redemptive alternative to our culture through a curriculum of
biblical instruction. Our mission is to prepare ministry students,
laypersons, business professionals, homemakers, and missionaries for
effective service in the 21st century by establishing a vibrant
personal faith in Jesus Christ coupled with a clear and biblical
worldview. Our specific goals for students are four-fold:
1. To deepen faith in and commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord of
creation and eternity. Our teachers and our curriculum are pastoral
in nature, while seeking to retain high academic standards.
2. To foster confidence in and knowledge of the written word of
God. We see God’s written revelation, the Bible, as central to any
understanding of life and eternity. Our classes reflect this
conviction and seek to bring students into an ever-deepening faith
shaped by a balanced knowledge of God’s word.
3. To encourage the renovation of our minds and hearts as the
Holy Spirit shapes our discipleship. The mind of Christ must be
formed within us if we are to grow and bear fruit for our Lord. As
the Spirit transforms us, we seek to cooperate with Him by
consistently submitting our thoughts and feelings to His word.
4. To prepare for effective and redemptive interaction with our
world in the 21st century. Times change but God’s message of grace
does not. We need to think deeply and respond purposefully to the
intellectual and moral challenges confronting today’s believer. In
this way will we impact our world and bring others to a saving
knowledge of Christ.
